The Life
Bios.
Jose Alfaro is a sex trafficking survivor. He was rejected and thrown out in the streets by his family when they discovered he was gay. Instead of emotional support he met a trafficker online who abused him for years. Eventually he called the US National human trafficking hotline and they put him in touch with prosecutors and he would up testifying against his trafficker who got 30 years. He is now a public speaker, advocate and an activist. He is also writing a memoir about his own experience and how he overcame the trauma of being a victim of sex trafficking.
Dr. Nissi Hamilton is a human trafficking child and adult survivor. She is the CEO of a non-profit called Nissi’s Network Inc. where she works with her community to reduce human trafficking in high-risk areas of poverty. She owns two for-profits called A Survivor’s Voice of Victory and Safe Space Training, where she is known for empowering super learners with ideal tools to have a healthy understanding of parent’s rights and responsibilities while raising children in a metaphysical and data driven world.
Mr. CAP (Cold Ass Pimp) is an International Rap Artist from Houston, Texas. He is a long time member of the South Park Coalition. He is also a former “pimp” a job he gave up to focus on his music. Today he often speaks about the dangers of sex trafficking especially affecting children.
Sex trafficking survivor Kathy McGibbon Givens is also the co founder of Tweleve11Partners, inc. which helps rehabilitate, support and encourage trafficking survivors. She is also a wife, mother, author, playwright, consultant and advocate.
Former sex trafficking survivor, Kathryn is now a recovery coach. She is the founder of We’ve Been there Done That, a re entry program in the Harris County Sheriff’s office dedicated to the rehabilitation of women who have engaged in prostitution and human trafficking. She also works for the Texas House of representatives Human Trafficking and Sex Industry Division.
